Classic Crunchy Chicken Salad


Nothing says summer like chicken salad. This recipe is quick, delicious, and perfect for warm summer days when you do not want to cook a lot. Serve this chicken salad on a bed of greens, between two pieces of your favorite bread, or just eat alone because it is just that good!

For this recipe, you will need:

Ingredients:

2 cups cooked chicken, chopped*
1/3 cup mayonnaise, adjust to taste
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
1 green onion, thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 tsp pepper to taste
1/2 tsp sugar*
1 teaspoon fresh dill
3 tbsp slivered almonds, toasted

Directions:

1. Combine all ingredients in a small bowl and mix well.

2. Adjust salt, pepper, and sugar as needed.

3. Serve on lettuce or as a sandwich.

*Notes: I like to use the Kirkland Brand Signature Premium Chunk Chicken Breast. All you need to do is drain it really well. The texture is perfect for chicken salad. For those following a low carb or Keto diet, you can substitute your favorite no calorie sweetener for the sugar.
