Simple Seven Layer Nacho Dip
Ingredients:
1-16 oz can traditional refried beans
16 oz ground chuck, browned with extra grease strained
1-1oz pkg taco seasoning mix
1- 4 oz can green chiles, diced
1/2-3/4 cup salsa, any variety
1 cup Mexican Style shredded cheese
1-16 oz can black refried beans
1-15 oz jar salsa con queso dip
1 large sweet onion, finely chopped
1-16 oz container light sour cream
1/3 cup green onions, finely sliced
Directions:
Brown ground beef in a large frying pan. Drain off excess fat by placing meat between paper towels and squeezing out excess liquid. return to frying pan.
Add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. Add can of diced green chiles. Mix thoroughly and cook a few minutes more to incorporate the flavors. remove from heat and set aside.
Using a large spatula, spread traditional refried beans into a glass baking dish.
Spoon taco meat mixture over beans.
Pour the salsa over the meat layer then spread grated cheese over salsa layer.
Using a large spatula, spread black refried beans over cheese layer.
Next, pour salsa con queso dip over black bean layer and sprinkle with sweet onions.
Finally, spread sour cream over the top and sprinkle with green onions
Bake at 350 degrees until the layer are hot and bubbling (approximately 25-30 minutes),
Serve with tortilla chips or spoon into tacos shells or flour tortillas. enjoy!
