Easy Slow Cooker Split Pea and Ham Soup


1-7 ounce Smithfield Ham Steak, diced
1-12 ounce bag dried split peas, rinsed and picked over
2 stalks celery, diced
1 small onion, diced
3 carrots, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 bay leaf
6 cups chicken stock


Combine all ingredients in a 6 quart slow cooker. Cook on high for 4 - 6 hours or low for 6 - 8 hours until vegetables are tender.
