Speaking of Yummy Pike Place Market Seafood...Here is a Recipe for Spicy Garlic Shrimp

Pan Seared Spicy Garlic Shrimp

Ingredients:
2 pounds of large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 large shallots- finely chopped
5 gloves of garlic- finely chopped
2 tbsp of olive oil
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp sugar (you can substitute sugar with honey, agave nectar, etc.)
1/2 tsp crushed red chili flakes
1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
2 tbsp oyster sauce (in the Asian aisle at the grocery store)
1 lb of fresh broccoli or green beans

Directions:
Mix all ingredients by hand in a large mixing bowl. Set aside. Add 1 tsp of olive oil to a wok or heavy non-stick pan. Heat over high heat until oil is very hot.  Add shrimp and stir quickly otherwise shallots and garlic will burn.  Cook until shrimp are pink in color and firm to the touch. Approximately 3-4 minutes depending on how large your shrimp are.  Remove from heat and set aside. Add 1 tsp of olive oil to remnants in pan.  Add fresh broccoli pieces or green beans and stir fry until bright green in color and remove from heat. Serve with jasmine rice or couscous.
